Horehound, commonly known as white horehound, is a perennial herb belonging to the mint family. Originally native to Africa, Asia, and Europe, it has since spread to other regions, including North America.
Due to its mucilaginous properties, horehound is often brewed into tea and used to make syrups and throat lozenges.
